Wavepaw makes water gear for dogs. Right now that means one thing: a flotation vest.

Why one product

Most pet stores sell a hundred things and know a little about each. We would rather sell one thing and be able to answer any question you have about it — how it fits a deep-chested dog, what the chin float actually does, what happens if the size is wrong.

That focus is also why our size guide is the longest page on this site. The single most common reason a dog vest disappoints is that it's the wrong size, and that's a problem we can solve before you order rather than after.

What we believe about water

Dogs love water and most of them swim well. But swimming ability varies enormously between dogs, and even strong swimmers get tired, get cold, get caught in a current, or can't work out how to get back onto a boat. A vest doesn't remove those risks. It gives your dog buoyancy and gives you a handle — and that is genuinely useful.

What a vest does not do is make your dog safe on their own. We say this on the product page, in the FAQ and on our Water Safety Notice, because a customer who understands what they're buying is a customer who stays happy with it.

How we talk about the product

We only publish specifications the manufacturer actually provides. Where information isn't available — neck girth, back length, weight ranges — we say so instead of filling the gap with plausible-sounding numbers. You'll never see a fabricated review, an invented certification or a fake countdown timer on this site.
